Class 2 Drivers based in Tamworth.

Ongoing - Monday to Friday. Start times between 4:00am and 10:00am.

Pay Rates:

  • Weekday - £15.00 plus holiday pay
  • Weekend - £16.50 plus holiday pay
  • Night out - £25.00

Driver Require are recruiting Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Tamworth. The role as a Class 2 driver will include:

  • Carrying out daily checks on the vehicle you are assigned for a job.
  • Completing minor repairs to the vehicles where necessary and appropriate to do so.
  • Reporting any damage, defects, or wear-and-tear to the Transport Team.
  • Ensuring the load is strapped down.
  • Driving a Class 2 Lorry to and from customer locations.
  • Multi drop (up to 10 drops).
  • Handballing required - no dirty work.
  • Liaising with customers.
  • Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts.
  • Effectively managing your driving time so that you don’t acquire infringements.
  • Nights out may be needed.

Class 2 Driver requirements:

  • Must have 12 months Class 2 Driver experience.
  • Strapping and loading experience needed.
  • Be mindful of the vehicles when driving to customers.
