Driver Require are recruiting Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Tamworth. The role will include:
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Completing minor repairs to the vehicles where necessary and appropriate to do so
- Reporting any damage, defects, or wear-and-tear to the Transport Team
- Ensuring the load is securely strapped down
- Driving a Class 2 Lorry to and from customer locations
- Multi drop (up to 8 drops)
- Handballing may be required - no dirty work
- Liaising with Customers
- Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
- Completion of paperwork / PODs
Pay rates:
- Weekday - £14.00 plus holiday pay
- Weekend - £17.50 plus holiday pay
- Night out - £25.00
Driver requirements:
- Must have 12 months HGV / Class 2 Driver experience
- Strapping and loading experience needed
- Be mindful of the vehicles when driving to customers, e.g., fitting into tight spaces
- Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10's)
