HGV Class 2 Drivers
Based Tamworth
Ongoing - Monday to Friday
Start times between 4:00 to 06:00
Pay Rates:
- Weekday - £15.00 plus holiday pay
- Weekend - £16.50 plus holiday Pay
- Night out - £25.00
Driver Require are recruiting Class 2 Drivers for ongoing, full-time work with one of our prestigious clients based in Tamworth.
The role as an Class 2 driver will include:
- Carrying out daily checks on the vehicle you are assigned for a job.
- Completing minor repairs to the vehicles where necessary and appropriate to do so.
- Reporting any damage, defects, or wear-and-tear to the Transport Team
- Ensuring the load is strapped down
- Driving a Class 2 Lorry to and from their customer locations
- Multi drop (up to10 drops)
- Handballing required - no dirty work
- Liaising with Customers
- Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
- Effectively managing your driving time so that you don't acquire infringements.
- Nights out maybe needed
Class 2 Driver requirements:
- Must have 12 months Class 2 Driver experience
- Strapping and loading experience needed
- Be mindful of the vehicles when driving to customer eg fitting into tight spaces
- Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions DD/DR/IN10's
