Driver Require are recruiting Class 1 Driver for our client based in Hams Hall. Our client has a bespoke services in Logistics, Transport & Global Shipping sectors across the globe.
Main responsibilities for a Class 1 driver
- Multidrop experience essential, can be 5-8 deliveries per day (Curtain sided trailers)
- Knowledge of how to use android handheld tablets, as the client uses an app for the deliveries, backed up with a paper manifest.
- Deliveries to building sites, loads are not handball, either FLT or telehandlers will be on site to offload.
- Types of products - fully assembled 1 st fix staircases, 2 nd fix ancillary products, rails bannisters etc, doors & linings.
- Typical week would be 50-55 hours
Skills and Experience Required for a Class 1 Driver
- 2 years experience of driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads
- No major convictions (DD/DR/IN10's)
- Our fleet is 1-3 years old, trucks fitted with microwaves & fridges, leaver seats & aircon.
- Use of SNAP parking sites so no expenses needed
- Could possibly be a permanent position for the right candidate on a temp to perm basis
