Driver Hire are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 HGV C+E Day Drivers to support a fantastic local client based in Warminster. Immediate starts are available. This role will involve travelling across rural locations. Drivers will be required to complete nights out 2–3 times per week, with a £30 tax-free night out allowance paid for each night out. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers looking for ongoing work, full-time hours.

The Role

  • You will be carrying out bulk collections using walking floor trailers, working Monday to Friday on day shifts.
  • Start times will vary depending on the route but are usually between 06:30 and 08:00.
  • Routes are well planned, with drivers travelling across rural locations and occasionally as far north as Preston.
  • There is no handballing involved with this role.
  • Duties will include:
    • Driving Class 1 HGV C+E vehicles
    • Operating walking floor trailers
    • Carrying out bulk collections across rural locations
    • Completing nights out 2–3 times per week
    • Following well-planned routes
    • Completing daily vehicle checks
    • Ensuring all paperwork and delivery records are completed accurately
    • Representing Driver Hire and our client in a professional manner
