Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for a Van Drivers for our companies within UB postcode areas (Uxbridge / Greenford / Southall / Hayes / West Drayton etc) ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS – SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED PAYE £13.75 to £16.55 per hour (inc. holiday pay) * Excellent rates of pay! * On-going position for the right candidates! * Register today and start work within 1 week! * Auto-enrolment pension after 3 months Day shifts, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends) start times between 5:30 and 8am Duties of a Van Driver: * Multi-drop deliveries of high-end products (Cars/Vans, Catering Equipment, Plant and Tool hire Equipment, Alcohol) in and around the M25 and Central London * Collecting products from suppliers * Preparing customer orders prior to dispatch and loading orders onto vehicles * Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues * Some companies require constant heaving lifting for deliveries/collections! (lifting heavy items for a distant and up/down stairs) * Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption * Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations Rates of pay for a Van Driver: * We pay for a minimum of 8 hours a day (breaks are not paid) * Overtime is paid after 9 hours * PAYE between £13.75 and £16.55 per hour (including holiday pay) Van Driver include Requirements: * Valid UK CAT B licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN) * Manual driving licence * You must be over the age of 25 years for insurance purposes * At least 1-year experience as a van driver or in a similar role is preferred (references required) * No more than 1 hour commute for you to travel to work * Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting * Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members * Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards If you are an enthusiastic individual with a passion for driving and delivering excellent service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Van Driver
