Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 HIAB Drivers for our customers in the UB postcode area (Uxbridge/ Hayes/ Northolt/ Greenford/ West Drayton etc). Please note all roles are on a temporary adhoc basis – shifts are not guaranteed.
£20.50 to £24.50 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay) depending on experience, overtime, nights, weekends etc. On-going position for the right candidates. Register today and start work within 1 week. Auto-enrolment pension after 3 months.
Type of shifts (depending on Company):
- Multi drop deliveries in and around M25 (up to 10 drops)
- Delivering for builders merchants, scaffolding, plant equipment deliveries
- Shifts are mostly during the week, day shifts, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
Requirements of Class 2 HIAB Drivers:
- Valid UK CAT C licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements)
- Valid HIAB certification
- Valid CPC and TACHO
- You must be over the age of 25 years – for insurance purposes
- At least 1 year Class 2 HIAB driving experience (references required)
- Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C) in the past 12 months
- Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
All-round Duties:
- Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner
- Secure load onto vehicle (strapping)
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Rates of pay:
We are paying for minimum 8 hours a day. Overtime is paid after 9 hours (breaks are not paid). PAYE between £20.00 and £23.00 per hour (rates differ for experience, nights, weekends).
