7.5 Tonne (C1) Driver – Tamworth

Driver Hire Coventry & Tamworth is currently recruiting for professional and reliable 7.5 Tonne (Category C1) Drivers to support a long-standing customer based in the Tamworth area.

This role offers a variety of shift patterns, making it suitable for drivers looking for weekday work, weekend work, or a regular fixed shift pattern.

Available Shift Patterns

• Weekend shifts available
• Friday to Monday shift pattern available
• Ongoing, regular work throughout the year

Drivers working the Friday to Monday shift pattern will receive a guaranteed 48 hours’ pay each week, regardless of the hours worked.

The Role

You will be carrying out deliveries to various customer sites as part of a two-person crew, working alongside a Driver’s Mate to assist in loading/unloading.

The role involves the delivery and installation of products, withmanual handling required on a daily basis. Drivers must be comfortable carrying items into customer premises and working as part of a team to complete deliveries safely and efficiently.

This is a physically demanding position and would suit drivers who enjoy an active role rather than solely driving.

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience is beneficial but not essential
