Driver Hire Sudbury are currently recruiting for Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our team. Our clients are based across the CO postcode; Sudbury, Halstead. They require drivers to cover busy periods, sickness and holiday.

What We Offer:

  • Minimum pay of £16.25 – £20.00 p/h for weekday, day shifts
  • Weekly pay, Overtime opportunities
  • Minimum of 8hrs pay per shift

Requirements:

  • Must have your own transport to travel to and from work.
  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (Cat C) licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, or similar endorsements).
  • Must have appropriate PPE, including steel toe cap boots (Hi-Vis provided by Driver Hire).
  • Must be able to work with both paper-based and PDA-based delivery systems.
  • 2 years experience preferred but not essential.

Job Details:

  • Start times vary between 04:00 and 07:00 AM.
  • Varied work in a variety of vehicles e.g. Trunking, General haulage, Curtain siders, Flat bed, Refrigerated trailers, Builders merchants.
  • Local and regional deliveries.
  • Completing vehicle checks and ensuring full compliance with tachograph and driving regulations.
  • Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
