About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver to join our customers growing general haulage operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods across regional and national routes while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general haulage deliveries and collections.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Ensure loads are secured safely and transported in accordance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and electronic records.
- Adhere to all drivers’ hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport legislation.
- Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and colleagues.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and transport regulations.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be available for nights out.
