We are recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for night trunking work to start immediately for our clients based in Preston & surrounding areas. HGV Class 1 is also known as Cat C+E for those who are more recent passes. As these positions are ASAP, we will need you to be immediately available so please don’t apply unless you are.
To work with us as a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will need:
- A UK issued Class 1 driving Licence
- A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Less than 8 points on your licence
- To be keen to look after your vehicle and be punctual and reliable
HGV Class 1 Night Driver responsibilities include:
- Trunking from depot to depot.
- Daily walk round and Vehicle checks. Reporting existing damage and defects.
- Correct use of Tachograph and drivers hours
The successful Class 1 HGV Drivers can expect:
- Monday–Friday: £18.69 – £22.69 PAYE Per Hour Adv.
- Weekly Pay, paid on time every time.
- 8hr minimum guaranteed pay per shift
- Subsidised ongoing CPC training.
