Driver Hire Preston is currently recruiting for 8 HGV Class 2 Drivers to work with a range of well-established clients across the Preston and Lancashire area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers seeking full-time temporary work with competitive pay, weekly wages, and ongoing opportunities. Key Responsibilities- Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and in accordance with all road transport regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
- Deliver goods to warehouses, distribution centres, and commercial business premises.
- Maintain regular communication with your line manager throughout the working day.
- Report any incidents, delays, vehicle defects, or operational issues promptly.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
- Adhere to Drivers’ Hours, Working Time Directive, and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service when making deliveries.
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations.
