The Role
- Duties will vary depending on your licence and the client but typically include:
- Driving Class 1 C+E or Class 2 Cat C vehicles
- Local and regional deliveries throughout Cambridgeshire
- General haulage, palletised freight, trade deliveries, and store deliveries
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Completing delivery paperwork, PODs, and digital tachograph records
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required
- Adhering to drivers’ hours regulations and site procedures
- Most routes involve early starts and benefit from predictable finish times.
Requirements
- A valid Class 1 C+E or Class 2 Cat C licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Ability to manage early starts and some manual handling
- Your own transport to access client depots
