Due to increased demand from a new customer in Paisley, Driver Hire Paisley is currently recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver for an immediate start. This is a key role within the operation, requiring a reliable, self-motivated driver who is comfortable working independently and supporting yard operations when required.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for carrying out safe and efficient deliveries to various sites across the region.
  • When not out on deliveries, yard work will be required.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate a Class 2 (LGV / HGV) vehicle
  • Make safe, compliant deliveries to multiple locations
  • Assist with yard duties when not on the road
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately
  • Adhere to all company, safety, and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

  • Valid Class 2 (LGV / HGV) licence
  • Driver CPC card
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points
