We have a recycling client who is a leading processor and recycler of WEEE waste in the UK, and through the expertise of their people and the investment in technology we promote and deliver a sustainable solution for the recycling of WEEE. Established for over 35 years, we have major contracts with local authorities, utility companies and businesses alike. As a result of continuous business growth, we are looking to expand our team and recruit an experienced Class 1 Driver. This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in the career and join a well-established and successful team.
Day work only – Hours: 06:00 to 16:00 (hours per week) Monday to Friday (hours are flexible to the needs of our business) some weekend work available with prior notice.
Main Duties- Collect, deliver and exchange RO-RO bins, travelling between our clients and our 3 operational sites.
- Following driving routes provided by our Transport Department.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects to the Transport Manager immediately.
- To complete all paperwork accurately in a timely manner.
- Parking of all vehicles at the end of everyday.
- Making sure the cab of your lorry is always clean and tidy.
- Keep in regular contact with the transport manager, yard managers and weighbridge operators at each site.
- Class 1 Driving Licence (Minimum 2 years).
- Must hold a Drivers CPC Licence.
- RO-RO (Wagon & Drag) experience.
- You must have good problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication, both orally and in writing, is essential.
- You will also have an excellent phone manner.
- You must always look presentable as the role is customer facing.
- Fluent English is required.
