dhBorders is currently working with a well‑established farming business that is looking to recruit a Farm Operative / Tractor Driver to support operations during peak periods, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent for the right person. This is a hands‑on position suited to someone with practical agricultural experience and strong mechanical awareness.

Duties will include:

  • Tractor work including ploughing, sowing, muck spreading and fertiliser spreading
  • Telehandler operation (loading and moving grain)
  • Harvest support (leading in, grain movement and general assistance)
  • Routine maintenance of agricultural machinery and implements
  • Carrying out minor mechanical repairs as required
  • General farm duties as needed during busy periods

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in agricultural tractor work
  • Be confident operating a telehandler (ideally)
  • Possess good mechanical empathy and practical problem‑solving skills
  • Be capable of carrying out minor repairs and routine maintenance
  • Be reliable, flexible and willing to work longer hours during peak seasons
  • Hold relevant licences/certifications (preferred but not essential)
  • Be interested in technological advances in the industry and prepared to learn new tech

£14.50ph PAYE. Adv hours will be flexible depending on needs/weather.
