Driver Hire Leeds West is recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare distribution business based at its Leeds Service Centre. We are looking for an organised, confident and proactive Transport Administrator Clerk to support a busy transport operation delivering essential products to hospitals, pharmacies and healthcare customers across the region.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who enjoys problem-solving, variety and being part of a fast-moving team where accuracy, communication and attention to detail really matter.

Job details

  • Location: Leeds, LS11
  • Pay rate: £12.95 per hour
  • Hours: 35hrs Per Week Monday to Thursday – Friday
  • Contract type: Temp to Perm with a permanent position available for the right candidate
  • Start date: Immediate start available for the right candidate

The role

  • Monitor inboxes, respond to delivery and order queries, keep records accurate and make sure important information reaches the right people quickly
  • Maintain spreadsheets for reprints, expiry dates, batch checks and other key records
  • Liaise with customer services, management and transport colleagues
  • Process bookings for priority hospital and pharmacy orders
  • Route emails and queries to the correct teams
  • Arrange emergency courier bookings when required
  • Investigate proof of delivery and missing item queries

What we’re looking for

  • Organised, accurate and confident communicating with different teams
  • Able to prioritise your own workload, stay calm under pressure and take a proactive approach when problems need solving
  • Strong administration and data accuracy skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
  • Confident communication skills by email and phone
  • Positive, proactive attitude and good problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous fleet, transport or logistics administration experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential
