Driver Hire Leeds West is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with a Moffett licence for a temp-to-perm role with our client in the insulation and drylining sector. You will work with Driver Hire for the first 13 weeks before transferring permanently to our client.

Job Details

  • Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 07:00 – 16:00
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x when required
  • No weekends
  • No nights out

Pay Rates

  • While working for Driver Hire Leeds West (first 13 weeks):
    • £17.69 per hour – Standard
    • £20.94 per hour – Overtime
  • When permanent with the client:
    • Approx. £30,500 per year (with regular overtime)

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class 2 HGV and Moffett forklift safely
  • Deliver insulation and drylining materials to construction sites and residential locations
  • Carry out nationwide deliveries as required
  • Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance reporting
  • Maintain delivery paperwork, mileage, and fuel records
  • Liaise with dispatch, sales teams, and site managers
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures

Requirements

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • Moffett licence – essential
  • Driver CPC + Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous construction materials delivery experience (preferred)
  • Physically fit for manual handling
  • Punctual, professional, and customer-focused
  • Experience completing nationwide deliveries
