We are recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing business for an experienced Production / Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to be the second engineer on site and take ownership of modern production lines in a developing facility.

The role:

  • Ensuring two production lines run efficiently, safely, and to quality standards
  • Operating, monitoring, troubleshooting and improving production machinery
  • Setting and adjusting machine parameters to meet product specifications
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Supporting new product development and scale-up
  • Training and supporting production operators
  • Liaising with machinery suppliers on upgrades and fault resolution
  • Driving continuous improvement and high health & safety standards

What we’re looking for:

  • A hands-on engineer with a problem-solving mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to health, safety and continuous improvement

Essential experience / qualifications:

  • Engineering background (mechanical preferred, electrical considered)
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Health & Safety training

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience with non-woven textiles machinery
  • Textile machinery experience (carding, cross-lap, needle punch)
  • Experience working with natural fibres
  • Agricultural or raw material processing knowledge
