We are recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing business for an experienced Production / Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to be the second engineer on site and take ownership of modern production lines in a developing facility.
The role:
- Ensuring two production lines run efficiently, safely, and to quality standards
- Operating, monitoring, troubleshooting and improving production machinery
- Setting and adjusting machine parameters to meet product specifications
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Supporting new product development and scale-up
- Training and supporting production operators
- Liaising with machinery suppliers on upgrades and fault resolution
- Driving continuous improvement and high health & safety standards
What we’re looking for:
- A hands-on engineer with a problem-solving mindset
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to health, safety and continuous improvement
Essential experience / qualifications:
- Engineering background (mechanical preferred, electrical considered)
- Manufacturing experience
- Health & Safety training
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience with non-woven textiles machinery
- Textile machinery experience (carding, cross-lap, needle punch)
- Experience working with natural fibres
- Agricultural or raw material processing knowledge
