Driver Hire are looking for a reliable Class 1 Driver for our clients in Ayrshire. The jobs will be weekdays and the start times for this role will usually be between 0600 and 0700 and you will be working minimum 8 hours for each shift. This work would probably suit a retired person or someone not looking for full time work.
HGV Driver Responsibilities include:
- Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles in compliance with all road and traffic regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods to designated locations.
- Secure loads and ensure goods are transported safely.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, and hours worked.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
As an HGV Driver you must have:
- Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E) licence.
- Min 1 years experience.
- No more than 3 penalty points.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills.
