Driver Hire Gatwick is seeking an experienced HGV mechanic to join one of our most prestigious clients in Horsham. You will be part of a team responsible for assisting with the fleet maintenance and ensuring that the vehicles comply with current legislation and safety inspections. Experience within an LGV/PSV environment is preferable however not required.
Key Duties:
- Carry out daily safety inspections to the vehicle fleet
- Complete relevant documentation regarding vehicle maintenance
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Deliver high standard of customer service
- To participate in the training and learning of alternative fuelled vehicles, either battery, electric or hydrogen.
Requirements:
- Experience of HGV mechanical engineering
- You must hold a Class 2 driving licence
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Availability from Monday to Friday
- Would need own transport to get to and from the workplace
Benefits:
- Competitive pay rate of £23.00ph to £24.00 Umbrella
- Annual salary when you get a perm contract will be £36,400 (plus supplement)
- Permanent work available depending on performance
- Triple pay on Bank holidays
