Driver Hire Lincoln is recruiting a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to support general haulage operations for a client based in Horncastle. This is a long term ongoing position, providing 5 days per week.
Location: Horncastle, Lincolnshire
Start Date: Immediate
Employment Type: Long term – ongoing
Pay: £14.80 per hour (first 8 hours), £19.75 per hour (overtime after 8 hours). Weekly PAYE pay every Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- 06:00 starts
- 10 – 12 hour days
- Complete 1–3 deliveries per day, both locally and nationwide
- Transport goods safely and efficiently
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain delivery records
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and clients
- Adhere to all safety and operational procedures
- All loads forklifted off at each delivery point
Candidate Requirements:
- Valid UK HGV/LGV Class 2 C licence
- CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
- No major endorsements (maximum 6 penalty points)
- Hi-vis clothing and safety boots
- Personal transport to get to and from work
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist
