The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical repair, as well as preventative maintenance, of our client’s fleet.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all relevant risk assessments.
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs independently.
- Ensure vehicles are ready for MOT inspections.
- Repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical faults on vehicles.
- Carry out vehicle computer diagnostics.
Skills
- Experience as a mechanic within a commercial vehicle environment.
- Relevant mechanical qualifications.
- Strong knowledge in MOT preparation.
- Exceptional knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- HGV Class 2 Licence (preferred however not required).
What We Offer
Full-time, permanent position – immediate start.
Pay rate: 23-24£/ hour (Umbrella rate) depending on experience.
Up to 50 hours per week (Monday–Friday).
Overtime and weekend work available at competitive rates.
