We are seeking experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our Driver Hire team in Barnsley for a leading UK value retailer. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and motivated drivers looking for ongoing work with competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for the delivery of goods.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery to designated locations.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods if required.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (CAT C).
- CPC qualification and valid tachograph card.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Competitive pay rate of £15.13 (days) or £16.25 (nights) per hour (including holiday pay). Ongoing bookings for stability in your working schedule. Supportive and friendly work environment.
