HGV 1 Driver - Flour company

Driver Hire Edinburgh City are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established flour distribution company in Edinburgh.

Looking for regular weekday work with the chance to go permanent? This temp-to-perm role offers full-time hours, consistent work and the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the client.

The Role

• Deliver flour safely to commercial customers and sites.
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure loads are secure.
• Follow road safety, transport legislation and health & safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional and reliable service.
• Monday to Friday, full-time.
• Minimum 40 hours per week.
• Overtime opportunities available.
• Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift.

PAYE

• £15.50 per hour
• £20.66 per hour after 8 hours

PAYE Advanced

• £17.37 per hour
• £23.15 per hour after 8 hours

• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Maximum 9 penalty points.
• No DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.
• Comfortable with the physical demands of the role.

Drug and alcohol testing may take place during induction and randomly throughout employment.

Edinburgh – suitable for drivers based in or around Haddington, Tranent, Prestonpans, Musselburgh, Dunbar, East Lothian and Midlothian.
