Driver Hire is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 ADR Drivers for an established client in Halifax.
We have multiple opportunities available for professional drivers who hold the relevant ADR qualifications and have the experience required to carry out deliveries safely, efficiently and in line with all relevant transport and dangerous goods regulations.
With a variety of assignments available, we aim to match the right drivers with suitable work, offering the potential for ongoing opportunities and flexible start times, depending on the client and assignment.

Types of Work Available
Depending on the client and assignment, duties may include:
- Transporting and delivering dangerous goods in accordance with ADR regulations
- Multi-drop deliveries and collections
- Local and regional distribution
- Loading and unloading vehicles in line with site procedures and safety requirements
- Completing vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are roadworthy
- Ensuring all relevant transport documentation is completed accurately
- Following company procedures, health and safety requirements and ADR regulations
- Maintaining professional standards when dealing with customers and site personnel
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for these roles, candidates must have:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Valid ADR vocational training certificate covering the relevant classes of dangerous goods required for the assignment
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience
- Experience transporting dangerous goods in an ADR-regulated environment
- A good understanding of ADR regulations, safe handling procedures and relevant documentation
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- A reliable, professional and responsible approach to work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and follow delivery schedules and site instructions
Candidates must ensure their ADR qualification covers the specific dangerous goods and any applicable tank or other specialisation requirements relevant to the role.
