Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles. Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults. Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime. Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with all roadworthiness standards. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies. Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime and support operational demands. Requirements NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Previous experience working on HGVs, lorries, trailers, or commercial vehicles. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Good understanding of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 or Class 2 Licence is highly advantageous, as it allows engineers to road-test vehicles after repairs).
