Working Hours: 4 on / 4 off shift pattern 5:00am - 5:30pm (Includes 1 hour break: 30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid)

About the role:

We are seeking an organised and proactive Transport Coordinator to join our busy logistics operation. This is a fast-paced role where you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth planning, coordination, and delivery of transport activities across our fleet and third-party providers. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure deliveries are completed on time and in full, while maintaining compliance with all transport regulations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute daily and weekly transport schedules for company vehicles and third-party logistics providers
  • Collaborate with Transport and Operations teams to ensure plans are achievable and efficient
  • Liaise with Sales teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Track vehicle movements using transport software and report delays or issues
  • Communicate progress updates on collections and deliveries to internal stakeholders
  • Manage delivery documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely return of signed paperwork
  • Conduct driver briefings and debriefings at the start and end of shifts
  • Maintain accurate records using ERP systems
  • Ensure compliance with driver hours regulations and tachograph requirements
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and report defects
  • Support yard operations, including trailer preparation and shunting
  • Respond quickly to operational challenges and resolve issues as they arise

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Transport Coordinator or in a similar role
  • Valid HGV Class 1 licence (however experience is not essential)
  • Strong understanding of transport logistics and supply chain operations
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Experience using ERP systems (preferred)
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
