Driver Hire Darlington is currently recruiting a Class 2 Driver for ongoing supply work with a well-established logistics client based in Darlington. This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for flexible, ongoing work with the potential for long-term assignments.

Working as part of a two-person delivery team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of furniture directly to customers' homes, while delivering excellent customer service.

The Role for a Class 2 Driver:
  • Multi-drop deliveries of furniture to residential customers
  • Working alongside a driver's mate
  • Providing a professional and friendly service at each delivery point
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
  • Adhering to all driving laws, company policies, and health & safety procedures
Shifts & Schedule for a Class 2 Driver:
  • Monday to Saturday availability
  • Minimum 3 shifts per week
  • Start times between 01:00am - 05:00am
  • Mixture of overnight work and long-distance runs
Requirements for a Class 2 Driver:
  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Previous multi-drop or delivery experience preferred
  • Good level of physical fitness (heavy lifting involved)
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Positive, customer-focused attitude
Pay & Benefits:
  • £15.13 - £16.15 per hour (PAYE)
  • Weekly pay through Driver Hire
  • Flexible supply work with consistent shifts available
  • Opportunity to secure a permanent role with the client
