Are you ambitious, motivated and looking for a career where your hard work is rewarded? Driver Hire Crewe is looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to complete a fully funded Level 3 Recruiter Apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced recruitment office, with a clear pathway into a fully-fledged Recruitment Consultant role. The apprenticeship develops the skills needed to manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing candidates, stakeholder engagement, compliance and onboarding.

No previous recruitment experience is required – we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

The Role

Working alongside experienced Recruitment Consultants, you’ll learn every aspect of the recruitment process while completing your apprenticeship. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Registering and interviewing new candidates
  • Writing and advertising job vacancies
  • Searching for candidates using online job boards and social media
  • Speaking with candidates about new opportunities
  • Matching candidates to suitable vacancies
  • Completing right-to-work, licence and compliance checks
  • Booking interviews and managing candidate availability
  • Building relationships with both candidates and clients
  • Supporting the office with administration and customer service
  • Learning how to develop new business opportunities

As your confidence and experience grow, you’ll begin managing your own clients and vacancies before progressing into a Recruitment Consultant position.

Your Apprenticeship

You’ll complete a Level 3 Recruiter Apprenticeship over 18 months, combining practical workplace experience with structured learning. Throughout the programme you’ll develop skills in:

  • Recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Candidate sourcing and interviewing
  • Recruitment legislation and compliance
  • Sales and negotiation
  • Stakeholder management
  • Recruitment marketing
  • Professional communication
  • Using recruitment technology and software

Training includes a combination of online learning, face-to-face sessions and support from a dedicated tutor, helping you develop into a professional recruiter.

What We’re Looking For

This role would suit someone who has recently left college and already has some experience in the workplace, perhaps in retail, hospitality, customer service or an office environment. You’ll ideally have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A confident and friendly personality
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good organisation and attention to detail
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • The ability to work well in a busy team environment
  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career

A full UK driving licence would be an advantage, but we’re also happy to consider applicants who are currently learning to drive.
