Driver Hire Huddersfield
We are looking for Category C – Class 2 LGV Drivers to join our team working alongside clients throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth.
These roles are for temporary and ad‑hoc bookings assisting clients covering holiday and sickness and increased business demands.
A high level of these roles can mature into permanent positions.
Responsibilities
- Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
- Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo reach the destination safely.
- Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
- Some nights out may be required, although day work can be offered if this is an issue.
- Perform non‑driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; demonstrate safe loading and be comfortable with lifting.
Requirements
- Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence.
- Hold a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Demonstrate Right to Work in the UK.
- Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.
- Be locally based.
- 8 hours minimum daily guaranteed.
