HGV Class 2 Driver Food Delivery roles are available for experienced Cat C drivers looking for flexible ad hoc work across South Devon. This role involves delivering wholesale food products to hotels, restaurants, pubs, and other hospitality venues throughout the South West. With shifts available across all seven days, this opportunity is ideal for drivers seeking ongoing work, flexible scheduling, and early starts.
Location: Newton Abbot
Deliveries throughout the South West.
Salary: £19.05 per hour PAYE Advance. Other PAYE models are available. Paid weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a Class 2 HGV safely and professionally on planned delivery routes
- Deliver wholesale food products to hotels, restaurants, pubs, and hospitality venues
- Complete cage deliveries efficiently and safely
- Work confidently in busy kitchens, service yards, loading bays, and back of house environments
- Carry out vehicle checks and comply with transport legislation
- Complete delivery paperwork and relevant records accurately
- Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations
- Start shifts from 5:00am and manage routes effectively
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 2 Category C licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Previous Class 2 driving experience
- Experience delivering to hospitality, catering, or food service customers
- Ability to complete cage deliveries in restricted or busy environments
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- Comfortable with early morning starts
