About the Job:

Based near Copthorne, our client is growing and currently recruiting for various roles within the business. One of these roles is a Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver. This role involves delivering barrels of alcohol and other miscellaneous items to the hospitality sector. Deliveries per day vary from 1-5 within London and the South, with no overnight stays or overly long days.

The role is straightforward but physically demanding, requiring handling of 60kg barrels. Deliveries are to London or the South, depending on the week and weather conditions.

Start times are around 6/7 am, depending on the day, with potential finishing times in the mid-afternoon. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow as a driver and gain varied experience within the logistics and hospitality industries.

What’s on offer:

This role is ongoing with the possibility of going on Temp to Permanent basis, meaning you will be employed through us for 12 weeks via an Umbrella Scheme. After this period, you will transfer to the client with a contract of employment via PAYE.

About you:

An ideal candidate will have experience in logistics and hospitality delivery, with familiarity with Curtain Siders and Tail Lifts. You should be comfortable navigating using provided Sat Nav systems and have a backup on your phone in case of Sat Nav failure.

You must have an up-to-date CPC and Tacho. Due to alcohol handling, this role may not suit individuals whose religion/beliefs prohibit handling alcohol.
