Driver Hire Uxbridge have an exciting opportunity for Experienced HGV CLASS 2 Drivers to join one of our movies and events customers based in Greenford. We are looking for reliable, flexible and experienced HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers to start IMMEDIATELY!
PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE ADHOC SHIFTS – SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED. Monday to Friday, Start and finish times can vary (may be as early as 5am).
Class 2 Duties will include:
- Complete easy runs from point A to B
- Safely transport event equipment and set up to large events, gigs and film sets
- You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Rates of Pay for Class 2 Drivers:
- PAYE £17.50 to £20.50
- We are paying for minimum 8 hours a day
- Overtime is paid after 8 hours (breaks are not paid)
Requirements of a Class 2 Driver:
- Valid UK CAT C manual licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements)
- Valid CPC and TACHO
- ADR qualification is desirable but not essential
- You must be over the age of 25 years – for insurance purposes
- At least 1 year HGV Class 2 driving experience (references required)
- Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C) in the past 12 months
- Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
- Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
