Driver Hire Chester and North Wales are recruiting for 1x 7.5t Driver working for our clients based near Chester. This is ongoing work for approx. 3 months, to commence ASAP.
As a 7.5t Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Service and maintain parts washers, ensuring equipment is cleaned, checked, and running safely and efficiently to keep customers compliant and operational.
- Handle waste collection and product delivery, safely managing and transporting materials.
- Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance, spotting issues early and preventing breakdowns before they happen.
- Engage directly with customers on site, building trust, following procedures, and ensuring every visit is completed to a high standard.
- Carry out repairs and part replacements, with full training and ongoing development provided to build your technical skills and confidence.
- Use digital tools to accurately record your work, capturing key service information and any important findings from each visit.
- Constantly scan for improvements, whether that’s a service opportunity, a risk, or a smarter way of doing things.
Working on an average shift length between 8-10 hours for this position, your essential qualities and requirements must include:
- 7.5 tonne licence, CPC and Tacho.
- Ability to pass a DBS check.
- Work 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting at 7am and finishing at 5pm with a 45-minute break.
- Ability to use a handheld system.
- Capability to pick up compliance processes easily.
- This is a physically demanding role, so needs to be suited to manual work.
Rates: basic £13.65 or (£15.30) adv.
