Job Description
We are seeking a professional Class 2 Driver to carry out general haulage deliveries and collections using curtain-sided HGV Class 2 vehicles. The role typically involves 2–3 drops or collections per day, delivering a variety of goods to commercial customers.
This is a day shift position with regular 7:00am starts and drivers are usually back the same day with no overnight stays required.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle for deliveries and collections.
- Complete 2–3 drops/collections per shift efficiently and on time.
- Secure and check loads correctly before departure.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Ensure all paperwork and delivery notes are completed accurately.
- Follow all road transport regulations and company procedures.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and working time regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Good communication skills and customer service approach.
