Driver Hire Carlisle is currently recruiting for multiple HGV Drivers for long-term ongoing work with our well-known and established client in the following areas: Carlisle, Workington, and Whitehaven. This is a great opportunity for a HGV driver looking for steady, reliable work with a possibility of Temp-perm.
The role involves operating a HGV Class 2 rear-wheel-drive bin wagon collecting waste bins around residential, commercial, and industrial estates, so a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and compliance is essential.
All sites have a first day induction of day office/paperwork based then half day in the vehicle, and for those with minimal/no experience, this will include a driving assessment.
The Role for a HGV Driver:
- Shifts run across Monday - Friday
- Saturday overtime available
- Overtime paid after 39 hours
- £17.00 PAY ADV Monday - Friday
- £25.00 PAY ADV Saturdays / Overtime
- £33.50 PAY ADV Sundays / Bank Holidays
- Completing local and regional collections as required
- Immediate starts
- Full UK driving licence with Category C (Class 2) entitlement
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
This role is ideal for a HGV driver seeking stable, long-term work with the possibility of Temp-perm after 12 weeks.
