Looking for something a little different this spring and summer? We’ve been supporting this client for some time with their road survey work, and for this year we’re looking to recruit an additional Class 1 driver to help cover the surveys starting towards the end of April. We’re recruiting now to get our team ready and make sure everything runs smoothly this season. This is a temporary role, likely running until October, as the survey equipment needs dry roads for successful data collection. When the survey season isn’t running, we’ll do our best to offer work with other clients to keep you as busy as you’d like to be.
What makes this role different:
- Drive a specialist road survey vehicle across varied locations, no two days are the same.
- Work closely with an experienced team who know the roads (and the kit) inside out.
- Shifts are typically 6 days on, 4 days off, with hotel stays while the vehicle stays out, drivers and operators swap at the end of each shift.
- Full training provided if needed, even with specialist kit.
- See the roads from a perspective few drivers ever get.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with current CPC.
- Safe, reliable, and patient drivers with proven track record.
- Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including overnight stays.
- A practical mindset, equipment checks and reporting will be part of the job.
What we offer:
- Competitive pay with overtime opportunities and night-out allowance.
- Friendly, supportive team, we treat our drivers like people, not numbers.
- Our sales and recruitment consultant regularly does this work himself.
- Varied, genuinely interesting work.
- Experience with a specialist vehicle that could open doors to further niche driving roles.
If driving is more than just a job and you want to be part of a team hitting the ground running this April through October, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you. Apply today and get on the road with something truly different!
