Driver Hire Blackburn is recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to support operations at a busy bakery production facility in Burnley.
The role focuses on moving ingredients, packaging and finished goods safely throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
- Transport ingredients from storage to production lines.
- Move finished baked goods to refrigerated and chilled storage areas.
- Load and unload stock as required.
- Ensure products are stored correctly in line with food safety procedures.
- Assist warehouse and production teams.
- Complete daily equipment checks and report defects.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.
- Work 12‑hour night shifts, Monday to Thursday.
Qualifications
- Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent).
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing or production environment.
- Comfortable working within chilled and refrigerated storage areas.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, able to work as part of a team.
- Previous food production or bakery experience is advantageous but not essential.
