Are you an experienced Recruitment Consultant or sales professional who wants more than quick wins? Do you enjoy building long-term partnerships instead of chasing short-term transactions? Do you like getting out from behind the desk, meeting real people, visiting businesses face-to-face, understanding what they need, and then finding the right candidates to make it happen?
With the addition of a secondary office in the region, Driver Hire Bridgwater & Taunton now requires an experienced, driven and commercially minded Recruitment Consultant to join our award-winning office. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit back and wait for the phone to ring. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys consultative sales, face-to-face client meetings, candidate attraction, relationship building and delivering results.
The Role
You will be responsible for building and managing your own client and candidate relationships across the local area. This is a Monday to Friday role, working 9:00am – 5:30pm, based from our main Bridgwater office. You will also travel locally across the region for client visits, face-to-face meetings and business development activity. You will be out visiting businesses, conducting face-to-face meetings, developing new partnerships and understanding exactly what each client needs from their workforce. Once those relationships are built, you will oversee the full recruitment journey — sourcing candidates, speaking with them properly, understanding their experience, matching them to suitable roles and placing the staff your clients need.
Your role will include:
- Building relationships with new clients across the Bridgwater area and wider region
- Visiting clients face-to-face and conducting professional business meetings
- Developing long-term partnerships rather than chasing one-off quick wins
- Understanding client requirements and providing consultative recruitment solutions
- Finding, speaking with and placing suitable candidates
- Managing the recruitment process from initial contact through to placement
- Maintaining strong relationships with both clients and candidates
- Driving revenue through new client wins and successful candidate placements
This is a role where your personality matters. Your ability to listen, ask good questions, build trust and follow through will be key.
