Driver Hire Bridgwater & Taunton is currently recruiting for reliable and professional Class 1 HGV C+E Tramper Drivers to support one of our fantastic clients based in Bridgwater. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver looking for regular tramping work, weekly pay and a varied role across RDC runs, trailer swaps and general haulage. The work is mainly Monday to Friday, with optional weekend work available at enhanced rates.
The Role
- Completing RDC runs across the UK
- Trailer swaps and trunking work
- Driving standard trailers or fridge trailers
- Working mixed start times across the week
- Nights out during the week as required
- Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and professionally
- Completing vehicle checks and paperwork correctly
- Representing both Driver Hire and our client to a high standard
This role will involve mixed shifts across the week, with daytime hours paid at £18.00 per hour between 6:00am and 6:00pm and night hours paid at £21.00 per hour between 6:00pm and 6:00am.

Requirements
- Full UK Class 1 HGV C+E licence
- Valid CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
- Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations

- Confidence with tramping, RDC runs and trailer swaps
- Good communication skills and reliability
