We are currently recruiting Van Drivers (3.5 Tonne, Cat B) for flexible opportunities for either ad hoc shifts or more regular long-term work across Bude, Bideford, Barnstaple and the wider North Devon area. This role involves driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and completing deliveries across the EX postcodes. Please note that this position is not parcel delivery work.

Location: Bude, Bideford, Barnstaple and North Devon.

Salary: £14.57 per hour PAYE Advance with other PAYE models available. Higher pay rates available for weekend shifts. Weekly pay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving a 3.5 tonne van safely and responsibly
  • Delivering goods across North Cornwall & Devon in a professional and timely manner
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
  • Following all road safety and transport regulations
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team regarding delivery schedules and updates
  • Completing all paperwork accurately and on time
  • Starting shifts between 04:00 and 09:00 depending on the route and client requirements

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Full and valid UK Category B driving licence
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • No DR, DD, or IN endorsements
  • Reliable and professional approach to work

Desirable:

  • Previous experience as a van driver, delivery driver, or multi-drop driver
  • Good geographical knowledge of North Devon
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
