At Driver Hire Lancaster, we are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver in and around the Barrow-In-Furness area to assist our client with 3/4 days of work a week.
This is likely to be ongoing work for the right driver with the potential of it being a temp to perm. This is refrigerated work so experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however training can be provided.
The driver can expect their vehicle to be loaded for them, however will be responsible for unloading empties upon return.
Requirements:
- C Licence
- CPC Card
- Digital Tachograph
- No Major Endorsements
HGV Driver responsibilities include:
- Vehicle safety checks
- Reporting any defects
- Successfully completing deliveries and collections across the country (usually 5-6 per day)
- Following route plans within the collection and delivery windows
The successful HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver can expect:
- £15.50 per hour
- £19.00 for hours exceeding 8 hour shift
- Weekly Pay
- 8 Hours guaranteed every shift
- Typically 36 hours per week
