Driver Hire (Barnstaple) is looking for reliable HGV Class 2 Driver for a full time position with our client in the Barnstaple area. This is a hands-on role that mixes driving with physical work, and will contain a mixture of trade waste work, flat bed work & skip work.

Pay and hours:

  • £38,235.60 per annum + bonuses
  • Weekly pay
  • Monday to Friday 04:00 starts
  • Occasional Saturday work
  • Occasional PM shifts (14:00)
  • Minimum 8 paid hours per shift

What the job involves:

  • Trade Waste drop off’s & collections
  • Flat bed work
  • Skips (Ro-Ro)
  • This role includes physical work and heavy lifting.

What you need:

  • Cat C Class 2 licence
  • Driver CPC
  • Digital Tachograph card
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points
  • Able to get to the Barnstaple depot for early starts
  • Physically able to carry out manual handling
  • Mobile phone for communication

Desirable:

  • Experience in waste
  • Local route knowledge
