Driver Hire Winchester is currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated Food Production Operative to join one of our well-established clients within the food industry. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role supporting warehouse and freezer operations. You'll play a key part in ensuring products are received, stored, packed, and dispatched efficiently—no two days are the same!
The Role:
- Working hours: 2:00 pm – 8:30 pm Monday to Friday (No weekend work)
- Ongoing contract, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow warehouse and freezer procedures to ensure safe, efficient operations
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries and collections
- Complete accurate goods-in and dispatch documentation
- Ensure correct stock rotation at all times
- Carry out bulk packing when required
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery
- Support the logistics team with driving duties when needed
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or food production environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- A team player who thrives in a busy environment
- A proactive, can-do attitude
- Full UK driving licence (held for 12+ months)
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major convictions)
