Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting a Relief Class 2 Driver / Warehouse Operative for our client based in Uxbridge, a building materials supplier to the industry's top dry lining and insulation manufacturers to support ceilings, partitions, insulation and more! THIS ROLE IS ON A TEMP TO PERM BASIS MONDAY TO FRIDAY 6AM STARTS.
Our client is looking for a fulltime Relief Class 2 Driver / Warehouse Operative to ensure timely and efficient deliveries, deliver excellent customer service, and assist with additional warehouse duties to support the day-to-day running of the branch.
All-round Duties:- Accurately pick and pack customer orders in line with operational requirements.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Safely load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, adhering to all handling and safety procedures.
- Ensure the warehouse environment is kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment as required, including pallet trucks and forklift trucks.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily targets and support continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
- Undertake Class 2 multi-drop deliveries and collections when required, ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently.
- Valid UK CAT C manual licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements).
- Valid CPC and TACHO.
- Age 25 years+ for insurance purposes.
- Minimum 1 year HGV Class 2 driving experience (references required).
- Previous Fork Lift experience is essential.
- Builders merchants or distribution experience preferred, knowledge of materials handling procedures and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
