Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Drivers to support our clients across the UB postcode areas, including Uxbridge, Harefield, Hayes, Northolt, Greenford, and West Drayton.
ALL ROLES BEGIN ON A TEMPORARY AD HOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED.
£20.50 to £24.50 per hour (PAYE, including holiday pay). Rates vary depending on experience, overtime, night shifts, and weekend work.
Auto-enrolment pension scheme after 3 months.
Mostly weekday day shifts (Monday to Friday). Occasional weekend work may be available.
Typical Shifts:
- Deliveries and collections for construction companies, builders merchants, scaffolding firms, and plant/tool hire businesses.
- Multi-drop deliveries (up to 10 drops) within and around the M25.
- Complete deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
Requirements:
- Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence held for at least 2 years (maximum 6 penalty points); Valid CPC and digital tachograph card.
- At least 1 year of Class 2 HIAB driving experience (references required).
- Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved).
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Good understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
