Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for 7.5 tonne Multi-drop Delivery Drivers for our clients based within UB postcode areas (Uxbridge/Southall/Hayes/West Drayton etc). PLEASE NOTE ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED.
PAYE £16.00 to £19.00 per hour (including holiday pay).
Type of shifts (depending on company):
- Multi drop deliveries in and around M25
- Delivering catering equipment, printers, electrical supplies, piping, flooring etc
- Deliver and collect tool/plant hire and construction equipment
- Scaffolding deliveries/collections
- Shifts are mainly during the week, day shifts, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
- Start times can vary between 5:30 and 8am
All-round Duties:
- Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Valid UK CAT C1 licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN)
- Valid CPC
- At least 1-year experience as a 7.5T driver/LGV/HGV (references required)
- You must be over the age of 25 years (insurance purposes)
- Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
