Driver Hire Uxbridge is currently recruiting Van Drivers for our client based in Hayes, a leading Auto Parts Store. This role involves manual handling – transporting vehicle stock and parts between showrooms and service centres, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time. PAYE £14.30 to £17.00 per hour (including holiday pay). This role is on a Temporary adhoc basis - shifts are not guaranteed.
Duties of a Van Driver:
- Transport automotive stock, vehicle parts, and accessories between showrooms and service centre.
- Complete scheduled deliveries and collections in a timely and professional manner.
- Load and unload vehicle parts safely, ensuring goods are handled with care.
- Check deliveries against paperwork and report any discrepancies or damage.
- Provide a professional service when dealing with customers, showroom and workshop staff.
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Comply with all road traffic regulations and company health & safety procedures.
Van Driver Requirements:
- Full UK Cat B manual driving licence.
- 2+ years experience.
- No more than 6 points (no DR, DD, TT, IN or MS90 endorsements).
- Age 25+ for insurance purposes.
- Previous commercial van driving experience preferred (references required).
- Good geographical knowledge of London and the surrounding areas.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
