Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting a Class 2 Driver for our client based in West Drayton – a family run logistics company whom are specialists in the safe delivery and installation of large white goods equipment.
Temporary starting position, leading to a permanent position for the right candidate.
£17.51 to £20.50 per hour PAYE (incl. Holiday Pay)
- Monday to Friday
- 05:00 / 06:00am starts daily
- Guaranteed 8 hours
- Very physical role
Class 2 HGV Driver Duties:
- You will be required to work as part of a two-man team delivering/installing and collecting a variety of high value delicate white goods.
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
- Work well under pressure and to strict time deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
Class 2 HGV Driver Requirements:
- Valid UK CAT C licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN).
- CPC and TACHO.
- At least 1-year experience as a Class 2 driver or in a similar role is preferred (references required).
- DBS preferred.
- Must be over the age of 25 years due to company insurance policies.
- Physically fit – all deliveries require lifting up to 40kg (two-man job).
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
